Tanzania in the globalisation debate; Emerging themes and patterns in the feminist movement.
THE COURSES I HAVE TAKEN THIS SEMESTER:
Methods of Social Science; Themes in Gender, Culture and Society; and Sociology of Modernization and Development.


WHAT I INTEND TO WORK ON IN THE NEXT TWO YEARS:

To undertake a research project on social and psychological dimensions of aging population in Kenya and India.
THE MOST IMPORTANT THING IN MY LIFE, APART FROM ACADEMICS:
I am interested in attending seminars and engaging people in intellectual discussion.
MY HOBBIES:
Travelling, sports,and listening to music especially African music.
WHAT INSPIRES ME MOST IN LIFE:
Being in control of my affairs and directing life in my desired direction.

A SHORT AUTOBIOGRAPHICAL SKETCH:
I am presently a student of PHD in JNU. My school , college and university education are from university of Nairobi, Kenya. In the last 8 years i have been working as a lecturer in the department of Sociology at Moi university in Kenya.  The courses taught include community development, rural development and Sociolgy of work.  Between 1987 and 1989 I worked as a social development officer in the department of social services, Government of Kenya
